Messages From the Maine Chapter President

January 2013

Greetings fellow CEC members!

The CEC 2013 National Conference in San Antonio is just around the corner!  (4/3/2013 - 4/6/2013). We are hoping that many of you will have the opportunity to attend.  We wanted to remind you about  Early Bird registration. Special EARLY BIRD rates now apply through January 15, 2013. You can save up to $100 off onsite registration rates. Register early and save!

The CEC National Conference is the largest professional development event dedicated to special and gifted education. There are hundreds of educational sessions conducted by leading experts and endless opportunities to network with others working with children and youth with exceptionalities and their families.

The Conference gives educators a chance to catch up on what’s happening in the field, broaden their perspective of special education, and further their professional growth.

Have a great day!

March 2012

Fellow CEC members,

I hope things are going smoothly for all of you.  I know that the spring is a time of meetings and planning for all of our students.  Maine CEC is looking for a few volunteers to help us continue to support CEC in Maine.  We would love to have current members that are interested in volunteering their time to be officers for the Maine branch.  We meet 3 times per year, and host a multitude of learning opportunities through Syntiro.  If anyone is interested in learning more, please contact Therese Burns at This email address is being protected from spambots.
