Utilizing the Co-Teaching Model to Integrate The Arts, Technology and the Core Curriculum

This learning session is limited to 30 participants.
How many times have you uttered the phrase “there is not enough time in the day to teach everything I need to teach.”? With the constant pressure of meeting standards today, many valuable learning opportunities escape us due to time constraints. Participants in this workshop will discover new and creative opportunities to find the time using the co-teaching model to integrate the arts, technology and the core curriculum.
Outcomes:
- Teachers will become familiar with the Co-Teaching Model and its benefits
- Teachers will become familiar with the concept of the integrated curriculum
- Teachers will understand the importance of maintaining The Arts
- Teachers will have time to explore examples of integrated projects and OER resources that are available to them
Presenters: Lisa Roux currently teaches 4th Grade at Morse Memorial School in Brooks, Maine. She has taught for the past 18 years, with experience in grades 3-6. She is currently earning her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. She believes that learning should be engaging, rewarding and student driven.
Jodie Dupuy currently teaches PK-5th Grade Music in RSU 3 as well as serves as the Technology Integration Specialist at the elementary level. She has taught for the past 14 years, with experience in grades PK-12. She is passionate about the continued integration and support of the arts in schools as well as the use of technology to enhance learning.
Learning session fee of $65.00 includes hearty snacks, lunch, and handouts. Our cancellation policy is 72 hours prior to the event. You will be expected to pay if you do not attend and cannot provide printed confirmation of your cancellation. If you are a full-time student enrolled in an education degree program, contact us about a discount.
Three Clock Hours will be awarded.

This learning session is designed for Educators PK-12 , Classroom Teachers, Arts Specialists (music, art, physical education. technology), and Ed Techs who have an interest in Co-Teaching and or Arts Integration.
