ELIMINATING BARRIERS

 

 

 

 

Take a moment to reflect on a recent time when you used or received one of the barriers with your child, a student, an other staff member, or with a parent.  Remember exactly what happened, how you felt, and how the child/students/adult reacted.  Record what happened in the space below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Imagine yourself eliminating the barrier.  Imagine how that would make you feel and how the child/student/adult might react.  Rewrite the script in the space below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Go to corner 1, 2, 3 or 4.  Chose a partner and take turns sharing what actually did happen, and then share your new script.
