FREE POSTSECONDARY COLLEGE AND CAREER RESOURCE HUB FOR MAINE PARENTS, STUDENTS AND EDUCATORS
Summer Enrichment, Professional Development, a Resource for High School Students and a Resource for Seniors Transitioning to College and Careers
GEAR UP Maine is excited to announce that we have partnered with SEEDS Training (a world-class Social & Emotional Learning Company) to offer an online resource HUB to Maine students, parents and educators at NO COST, as a statewide contribution by GEAR UP Maine.

· For students, we are offering a College Readiness Series
o 20 Quick hitting videos, full of practical strategies for getting the most out of the college experience. Ideal for graduating seniors and first year college students covering topics such as financial literacy, developing relationships with new teachers, managing time, dealing with anxiety, communication skills and more.
· For parents, we are offering a Parenting Tool Belt
o A five-part online training program to help families have more meaningful and productive conversations.
· For Educators, we are offering a Professional Development Series
o Recorded 60-90 minute sessions that work with your busy schedule.
o Social & Emotional Learning content that is designed to get results
o Professional development for you and take-away curriculum that you can use with your team, students and parent community
o Networking with other pro educators
We are asking that you share this flyer far and wide throughout the State of Maine. We encourage you to forward it on to student and parent emails, post on school/administrative social media accounts, as well as post on school bulletin boards. These opportunities are invaluable to Maine's students, families, and educators and are timely given the challenges the pandemic has caused.

- GEAR UP Maine continues it’s work through a no cost extension for the 2014-2021 GEAR UP program through 9/24/2022 and our work on the Supplemental Award to study the Class of 2020 for five years will continue. - Syntiro was home to the Employment for ME Workforce Development System (EWDS) until 2021. The Institute on Community Inclusion at UMASS Boston was awarded the new contract in early 2022. The links will be updated shortly.
