• Being reminded of the importance of using formal vocabulary with the students and not taking for granted that they understand the meaning of the words you are using.

I will be mindful of how strengths fit within a team, including when putting a person into an employment site, seeing how the individual will fit within the established team. Webinars allow time for training while maintaining a busy schedule.

The GEAR UP program is an incredible resource for college students and high schoolers alike. There is always someone willing to help answer your questions about education or connect you with others who can provide answers.

When I think of the many benefits that (our) High School has received because of GEAR UP, I tear up because as the guidance counselor for grades prek-12 (over 350 students), I cannot do it all and GEAR UP filled those holes.
